Obituary for Sara M. Griffiths
Of Billerica, unexpectedly, Feb. 18, Sara M. Griffiths, beloved daughter of William T. and Patricia A. (McLean) Griffiths. Sister of Brian Griffiths of Billerica. Granddaughter of William F. Griffiths of Somerville and Elizabeth McLean also of Somerville and the late Florence Griffiths and Warren C. McLean Sr. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Sara avidly enjoyed outdoor activities with her friends and family, especially hiking and mountain climbing. She enjoyed traveling and visited many countries including Italy, Germany, Belize, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. A graduate of Billerica Memorial High School, Sara attended UMass Lowell and the Salter School where she was certified in medical billing and coding specialty. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of mass cards and flowers, memorial contributions in Sara’s name may be made to MOA, 458 High Street, c/o Sanctuary United Church of Christ, Medford, MA 02155.
