Obituary for Santiago 'Gomer' Gomez III
Santiago "Gomer" Gomez III - Age 64, died Saturday after a long illness surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in Boston, August 12, 1946, the son of the late Santiago and Marion T. (McConnon) Gomez and has lived in Billerica most of his life. Mr. Gomez served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Gomez was a self-employed house painter and later was employed by the Town of Billerica in the Water Department prior to his retirement. He enjoyed Horse Racing at Saratoga and was an avid Celtics fan.
He is survived by his son, Michael Gomez of Billerica; his daughter, Kara Cronin and her husband Zac of Stoneham; his brother, Frank Gomez of Lowell; his grandchildren, Zachary and Ava Cronin; his dear friends, David and Rosemary Saviano of Billerica and many cherished cousins and friends. Mr. Gomez was the brother of the late Madeline Holmes.
