Obituary for Sandra L. Mitchell

BILLERICA – Sandra L. (Denucce) (Montello) Mitchell, age 74, beloved wife of Stanley G. Mitchell Jr. died Saturday at the Sawtelle Hospice house with her husband and her brother-in-law John Mitchell by her side after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was born in Waltham, February 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Carmine F. and Florence E. (Doucette) Denucce and lived in Burlington before moving to Billerica 20 years ago.

Mrs. Mitchell worked at Raytheon in Waltham before becoming a secretary for the Mass Bay Commuter Rail for 15 years.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son Frank Montello of VA; one stepson, Christopher Mitchell of MO; one brother James Denucce and his wife Audrey of Burlington; two grandchildren, Shawn Montello of VA and Samantha Montello of NH; as well as three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael Montello and sister of the late Patricia Grimes and Robert Denucce.

MITCHELL – Of Billerica, formerly of Burlington, Dec. 31, Sandra L. (Denucce) (Montello) Mitchell. A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Private burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Billerica Cat Care Coalition, a no kill rescue and adoption agency, PO Box 141, N. Billerica, MA 01862.
