Obituary for Salvatore J. Aiello
Salvatore J. “Sonny” Aiello, age 91, beloved husband of Josephine M. (Rizzo) Aiello with whom he celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on October 10th died Saturday at Lahey hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born in Boston, February 7, 1930 a son of the late Leonard and Maria G. (Orlando) Aiello and loved his lake cottage along with his Florida home.

Sonny proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean war as a ground controller for the C-124 Globemaster and went on to become an Engineer for Raytheon as well as owning Sal’s TV Repair.

He was a true conservative who enjoyed listening to Rush Limbaugh. In his spare time he enjoyed a good Haddock dinner and an afternoon nap and will be remembered for his favorite phrase “Everyone out”

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Catherine Pappathan and her husband Phillip Lastoria of Plymouth, Mary Ann Turkette and her husband Robert of Billerica, Linda Boland and her husband Scott of Nashua, NH, Sherrill Ann Linnane and her husband Daniel Jr. of Peabody and Leonard Aiello and his wife Christine of Billerica; his siblings William Aiello of Dennis, John Aiello of Quincy, Leonard Aiello of MO and the late Michael Aiello and Roseann Cresey. He was also the loving grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 9.

Visiting hours will be held Friday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Masks will be required. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
