Obituary for Sally M. O'Keefe
Age 87 Beloved wife of the late Allen R. O’Keefe died Wednesday at her home in Reading with her family by her side.
She was born in Chelsea, MA on October 23, 1928. Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Florence A. (King) Parker. She resided in Billerica for 37 years before moving to Reading MA.
She had a love for baking and shared that with everyone through her creative cake decorating for all occasions along with her famous mile high apple pie and “scones”. She loved to sew and over the years she was the talented seamstress of many family Halloween costumes. She was an avid Scrabble player and enjoyed going to Bingo.
Devoted mother of Donald Mills and his companion Kathy Perito of Wilmington, Steven Mills and his wife Margaret of Chelsea, Karen DeMarco and her husband Frank of Billerica, Kathleen Kilbride and her husband Thomas of Reading. Loving Grandmother "Nan" of Sheri Lee and Jennifer Young of Billerica, Kerrie Voorhees of Tewksbury, Scott Mills of Pepperell, Brian Kilbride of Boston, Stephanie and Steven Mills of Chelsea. Great Grandmother “G.G.” of Jaclyn, Nathan, Samantha, Hayley, Corey, Britney, Jessica and Brayden. She is survived by her sister Rose Laurenti and was sister to the late Yvonne “Reva” Doucette, Harry Parker, Henry Parker, Katherine Mangini and Margaret O’Neil. She was aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Monday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church, 796 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
