Ruth P. ‘Pat’ O’Toole – age 90, and longtime resident of Billerica, died peacefully at her home on Friday, November 7th with her family by her side.
Born in Cambridge on May 21, 1935, Pat was born to the late George T. Larose and Mary ‘Ruth’ (Souza) Caezza.
In 1952, Pat married Joseph Granfield and raised their two children, Michelle and Richard. After Joseph’s passing in 1976, she married Stephen O’Toole in 1978 and was married for 25 years, before his passing in 2003. In addition, she retired from BASF as an assembler where she had worked at for many years.
Pat is survived by her children, Richard Granfield, and his wife Janet of Billerica, and Michelle Granfield of Billerica. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Giordano, Amanda Granfield, Tiffany Ostrander, Melissa Gaffney and Richard D. Granfield, as well as her eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouses, Pat was predeceased by her grandson, Maurice Giordano and her siblings, Beatrice (Queenie) Caezza, Catherine (Larose) Dipietro, Adam Caezza, George LaRose and John Caezza.
At the family’s request, all services for Pat will be held privately.
