Obituary for Ruth J. Card
BILLERICA - Ruth J. (Doherty) Card, age 89, wife of the late Wesley M. Card, died Thursday at the Life Care Center of the Merrimack Valley.
She was born in Woburn, February 11, 1920, daughter of the late Bernard and Sarah (McCafferty) Doherty and lived in Malden and Burlington before moving to Billerica four years ago.
Mrs. Card is survived by one son, Richard Card and his wife Rose of Chelmsford; three daughters, Nancy Gardner and her husband David of Woodstock, NH, Jeanne Melanson and her husband Richard of Billerica and Debra Hill and her husband James of Dracut. Three grandchildren, Kim Gullage, Peter Card and Allison Hill. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and was the grandmother of the late David Gardner Jr.
CARD - Of Billerica, formerly of Malden and Burlington, July 16, Ruth J. (Doherty) Card wife of the late Wesley M. Card. Visiting hours will be held Saturday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2 - 5 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at the Calvary Cemetery, 686 Washington St., Winchester at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
