Obituary for Russell W. Kurz
CHELMSFORD – Russell W. Kurz, age 89, died Saturday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Medford, May 16, 1923, a son of the late Robert and Margaret (Range) Kurz and lived in Medford before moving to Chelmsford 30 years ago. Mr. Kurz served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II, and was employed by Bradford Novelty before beginning his own business as a Vacuum Metalizing Consultant. He is survived by three daughters, Marianne Fichera and her husband George of Billerica, Janice Callahan of CA and Karen Kahale and her husband Ronald Shidaki of Billerica; two stepsons, Michael Yenouskas of CT and Steven Yenouskas of Billerica; one sister, Mary Leach; also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley, Malia, Nicole, Brandi, Madison, Alisha and Kawika and two great-grandchildren Kendra and Jaeden. He was the grandfather of the late Keone Kahale and Ev Callahan and brother of the late Cecil, Robert and Edward Kurz. KURZ – Of Chelmsford, formerly of Medford and Malden, Jan. 26, Russell W. Kurz. A Memorial Service will be held Friday in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA at 1 p.m. Followed by a Celebration of Life at the Billerica Lodge of Elks, 14 Webb Brook Rd., Billerica at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. It being his request there will be no visiting hours.
