Obituary for Russell W. DeWitt
DeWitt – Of Billerica, formerly of Brockton and Allston, Jan. 2, Russell W. DeWitt husband of Linda A. (Whitman) DeWitt. Father of Robert DeWitt and his wife Danielle of Rockville, MD, David DeWitt and his wife Julie of Chicago, IL. Brother of Marianne Pratt and her husband Douglas Pratt Sr. of Billerica. Grandfather of Meredith, Teddy, Liam and Christopher DeWitt, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held Sunday January 8th, 2017 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA from 1-4 p.m. Committal prayers and military honors will be held Monday January 9th, 2017 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 12:45 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Mr. DeWitt served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later served in the Army National Guard having retired in 1994.
