Obituary for Roy P. Ericson
BILLERICA – Roy P. Ericson, age 69, beloved husband of Frances (Currie) Ericson died unexpectedly Friday at Winchester Hospital. He was born in New Haven, CT, June 8, 1942 a son of the late Roy and Alma E. (Torode) Ericson, served in the US Coast Guard and was a Process Engineer and QC Inspector for BASF and more recently for Parlex Corp. A beloved husband and treasured father, Roy loved his family and friends, both two and four legged alike! He cherished taking care of his grandson during school vacations…he was Mr. Fix-It and family pet sitter…he was the family photographer, capturing every family moment with a keen eye and lots of pictures. He enjoyed sailing the high seas, taming the wild, golfing, partaking in the occasional weekend yard sale and challenging his mind with his nightly computer games. Roy was an involved member of the Billerica Senior Center and Library and touched so many lives through his generous heart and gentle demeanor. Besides his wife of 24 years he is survived by two sons, Steven Ericson and his wife Doreen of Chicopee, MA and Scott Currie of Derry, NH; one daughter, Kathleen Murray and her husband Philip of Derry, NH; two brothers, Bruce Ericson of NV and Tim Ericson of OR; one sister, Carol Right of NV and his beloved grandchildren Samantha and Brian. ERICSON – Of Billerica, unexpectedly Dec. 2, Roy P. Ericson. A Celebration of his life will be held Thursday at The Billerica Lodge of Elks, 14 Webb Brook Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
