Rose M. Shreenan – age 100, wife of the late John R. Shreenan died Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.
She was born in Concord, February 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Elio and the late Laura (Fiorelli) Stefanelli and was raised in Concord and moved to Billerica in 1960.
Rose enjoyed volunteering at the Billerica Council On Aging, crocheting hats for babies. She also enjoyed spending winters in Las Vegas with her husband John. She was a fantastic cook, just ask anyone who had her homemade pizza or pizzella cookies. She also enjoyed meeting with her friends for coffee at McDonalds.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Laura Catyb and her husband Alley of Dracut; her son, Thomas Shreenan and his wife Debbie of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; her sister, Mary Iodice of Marlborough and is also survived by her five grandchildren, Danielle, Shauna, Tommy, Kailey and Aliyyah and two great grandchildren, Noah and Morrison.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
