Obituary for Roger G. Lambert
Roger Girouard Lambert – Age 88, husband of the late Mary (Frappier) Lambert died Tuesday at the Benchmark Senior Living at Billerica Crossings with his daughter at his side.
He was born in Amesbury MA, December 3, 1929, a son of the late Ovila and Mary (Girouard) Lambert and lived in Billerica most of his life. He was stationed all around the world while in the service, came home to Billerica then moving to Lowell with Mary then finally back home to Billerica Crossing. He loved the town of Billerica and always considered it his home.
Mr. Lambert proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years having retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1971. He was employed as a Custodian for 20 years having worked at the Ditson and Hajjar Schools in Billerica and some time at the Lowell High School. After a few years of retirement he and Mary worked as Baggers at the commissary at Hansom Air Force Base prior to his final retirement. He always mentioned how proud he was of his service and his country.
Mr. Lambert was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071. He often went to play cribbage and/or pool and loved the camaraderie with his fellow Elks.
He loved his family and is survived by his daughters, Laurie Lambert of VA, Teri Matthews and her husband Richard of Billerica MA, Alma Mattucci and her husband Tony of Bridgton ME, Debra Greenfield and her husband Ben of Sumas WA; his sons, John and David Lambert of FL and Ronald Cranshaw and his wife Donna of Raymond NH; his brother, Paul Lambert of Lowell MA, his sisters Jeannette Mahoney of FL and Annette Moores of Chelmsford MA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Anita Pohl, Theresa Guisti and Lorraine Conboy; father to the late Arthur Cranshaw and grandfather of the late Ron Cranshaw Jr.

Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
