Obituary for Roberto M. Tayag
ROBERTO M. TAYAG – Age 73, beloved husband of Marilou (Ronas) Tayag passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
He was born in the Philippines, October 27, 1943, son of the late Rafael and Gabriela (Mallare) Tayag and lived in Boston before moving to Billerica in 1972.
Mr. Tayag was employed in the Accounting Department for the U.S. Postal Service having worked in Woburn and North Reading for over 20 years before retiring in 2004.
Besides his wife, Mr. Tayag is survived by his daughters, Raquel Tayag and her wife Priscilla White of Manchester, NH and Roselyn Scales and her husband Roger of Billerica; his sister, Rosalinda Payawal of FL, two grandchildren, Geoffrey and Tyler Scales, and step-grandchildren, Elisabel Rivera and Brian White. He was the brother of the late Rafael, Jr., Romulo, Rustico, and Ricardo Tayag, Rosario Evangelista and Rosita Natividad.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4p.m. at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica at 9a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
