Obituary for Roberta M. Hayes
Roberta M. Hayes – Age 80, wife of the late Edward F. Hayes Sr. died unexpectedly Tuesday at her home in Waterboro, ME.
She was born in Providence, RI, January 23, 1937, a daughter of the late William M. and Phyllis M. (Burnham) Murray and lived in Billerica before moving to Waterboro, ME 23 years ago.
Mrs. Hayes graduated from Hingham High School in 1954 and later from the Cambridge City School of Nursing in 1957. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Cambridge City Hospital for 28 years having retired in 1982 and later worked at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica.
While living in Billerica, Mrs. Hayes was a communicant of St. Theresa Church and was active with the Cancer Support Group and the Billerica Pop Warner.
She is survived by her sons, John Hayes, William Hayes and Michael Hayes all of Waterboro, ME and the late Edward Hayes Jr.; her sister, Phyllis Jones of Phoenix, AZ and her brother, the late Richard Murray. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 3, at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
