Obituary for Robert Skinner
Robert E. Skinner – Age 77, beloved husband of 55 years to Annette M. (Poirier) Skinner died Monday at their home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cambridge, July 4, 1935, the son of the late Samuel and Edith (Specter) Skinner and was raised in Cambridge before moving to Watertown and Somerville. Along with his wife, Mr. Skinner moved to Billerica in 1960. He was the founder of McGarvin Engineering in Lowell. He enjoyed traveling, Tuesday night family dinners and 'bonding time' at Foxwoods. Besides his wife, Mr. Skinner is survived by his sons, Bobby Skinner and his wife Karen of Billerica, Ronald Skinner and his wife Tina of Pelham, NH, Jimmy Skinner and his wife Teri of Hudson, NH and Steven Skinner of Pepperell; his brother, Ted Skinner of Maynard; his sister, Lillian Boudreau of Tyngsboro and six grandchildren, Kelli, Brady, Brandon, Evan, Justin and Shyanne Skinner. Skinner, Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
