Robert L. Boutin – Age 83, husband of the late Patricia (Kempton) Boutin and Gloria (Parsons) Boutin died peacefully Friday, January 31 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lowell, May 6, 1941, a son of the late Wilfrid and Cecile (LaRose) Boutin and was raised in Lowell before moving to Westford and then to Billerica.
Robert was employed for the Boston and Maine Railroad and later worked for Amtrack where he retired in 2002. He was a member of International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local #318 as a union officer, and 32 years as a member in good standing.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert Boutin and his wife Angie of Santee, CA, Robin Gordon and her husband Mark of Billerica, Brenda Grant and her husband Thom of Hudson, NH, Joseph Boutin and his significant other Shannon Hennessy of Billerica and Bonny DeBeaucourt and her husband Eric of Leominster and his grandchildren, Carolyn Boutin, Carissa, Amanda and Ross Gordon, Tyler Grant, Chad Boutin, Tori Dupuis and her wife Nicole, Avery DeBeaucourt and his wife Pamela and Jamie DeBeaucourt. Robert was the brother of the late Pauline Harvey, Roger Boutin, Estelle Maille, Jackie Koziol and Richard Boutin. He was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews.
