Obituary for Robert J. Meserve
ROBERT J. MESERVE - Age 85, died Thursday at the Boston VA Hospital in West Roxbury after a short illness.
He was born in Cambridge, July 18, 1924, the son of the late Charles and Bernice (Bolduc) Meserve and has lived in Billerica for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Russell in the Pacific during WW II.
Mr. Meserve was employed as a Bartender at the former Everglades Restaurant in Billerica. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071 and the V.F.W. Post #2597.
He is survived by his son, Robert M. Meserve and his wife Sharon of Atkinson, NH; his sisters, Ann Gordon of Billerica and Marion Keefe of Dracut; his grandchildren, Jennifer and Gretchen Meserve and his great grandchild Vanessa. He is also survived by many relatives and dear friends.
MESERVE - Of Billerica, Jan. 14, Robert J. Meserve, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
