Robert H. Ploski, 63, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 21, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a battle with leukemia.
Born in Boston November 28, 1962, Robert was the son of the late Henry and Rita (Barry) Ploski. He was a longtime resident of Boston.
Prior to his passing, Rob worked for the Committee for Public Counsel Services and is remembered by many friends and colleagues there who will miss him dearly.
Rob had a kind heart and an easy-going personality that made him a joy to be around. He was easy to talk to and always had an interesting story or a joke to share. He loved comic books and spending time with his family, especially his siblings and his many nieces and nephews. Some of his favorite times were spent taking his nieces and nephews around Boston for lunch, museum visits, Swan Boat rides, harbor cruises, or trips out to Georges Island. Those memories will be cherished.
Rob is survived by his sister, Barbara Monfils (husband Paul Monfils) of Providence, RI; his brothers, Michael Ploski (late husband Philip Lepage) of Savannah, GA, and Kenneth Ploski (wife Denise Ploski) of Billerica; and his many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21 at Redstone American Grill, 20 3rd Ave., Burlington from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30p.m. All are welcome. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, www.jimmyfund.org.
