Obituary for Robert G. Zawatsky
Robert G. Zawatsky, age 64, beloved husband of Joyce (Smith) Zawatsky, died Monday at Mass General Hospital in Boston. He was born in Boston, January 31, 1948, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Kawalski) Zawatsky and lived in Dorchester and Medford before moving to Billerica 38 years ago. Mr. Zawatsky served in the US Navy, was a salesman for Hobart Corporation and a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks. Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Brian Zawatsky and wife Stephanie of Dracut; three grandchildren, Meghan, Alyssa and Jake; sister-in-law, Janis Smith and her husband Leroy ; brother-in-law William Smith and his wife Nancy; his son-in-law Thomas Proia; dear friends Bill and Sheila Sartell as well as many others, his best friend Miss Molly as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Laurie A. Proia and brother of the late Joseph F. Zawatsky. ZAWATSKY – Of Billerica, formerly of Medford and Dorchester, Feb. 13, Robert G. Zawatsky. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and Friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of MA and RI, in Memory of Robert Zawatsky, One Bullfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
