Robert (Bob) A. Masterson – age 81, died unexpectedly Monday, January 22 at his home.
He was born in Cambridge, Ma. on February 18, 1945, a son of the late Patrick J. and Constance E. (Dumas) Masterson and lived in Billerica for over 43 years. Bob was preceded in death by siblings, Judith Masterson, Patrick J. Masterson Jr, Albert G. Masterson and Barbara A. Masterson Burns.
Bob is a combat decorated veteran being awarded the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Air Medal (2 devices) Meritorious Service Medal and numerous decorations from the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. Bob retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant having served 20 years.
He later worked in the private sector as an electronic supervisor with certification in Computer Aided Design and Drafting.
Bob is survived by his sister, Carol Wells of Derry, NH and brothers, James Masterson of Stratham, NH and Michael Masterson of Bluffton, SC, and his many nieces and nephews.
Robert’s funeral arrangements will be private, memorial contributions may be made to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Ma.
