Obituary for Robert A. Gallagher Sr.
Robert A. Gallagher Sr. - Age 75, husband of the late Lorraine M. (Kelley) Gallagher died Sunday at the Westford House Nursing Home.
He was born in Boston, November 20, 1934, the son of the late William Gallagher and Alexandria (Tracy) Gallagher and lived in Charlestown before moving to Billerica over 30 years ago. He had served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Gallagher was employed as a Mechanic for the MBTA for 28 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Gallagher Jr. and William Gallagher of Billerica; his daughter, Lorry Barrett of Billerica; his brothers, Joseph Gallagher of FL, Francis "Jim" Gallagher and William Gallagher of Billerica and Patrick Gallagher of Bedford; his sisters, Marilyn Martell of Billerica, Joan Duncan of Burlington and Alice McDonald of Newton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Mr. Gallagher was the father of the late Ann Cornette and the brother of the late John Gallagher and Paul McGrath.

Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham, MA 02451.
