Obituary for Robert J. Bovio
Robert J. Bovio – Age 77, beloved husband of Eileen R. (Gagnon) Bovio died Sunday at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in Beverly, December 12, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Marie (Charron) Bovio and was raised in Beverly before moving to Billerica 36 years ago.
Mr. Bovio was employed as an Engineer for GTE Sylvania in Danvers for 38 years prior to his retirement. He and his wife enjoyed being married for 52 years. He was an avid golfer but only in fair-weather.
The family is greatfull for the wonderful care that he received from Lowell General Hospital, Dr. Michael Bertos and Circle Home Health and Hospice Care.
Besides his wife, Mr. Bovio is survived by his daughter, Suzanne O’Brien and her husband Timothy of New Boston, NH; his son, Robert Bovio II of Billerica and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Drew and Jameson O’Brien. He was the brother of the late Ronald Bovio.
BOVIO – Of Billerica, Nov. 26, Robert J. Bovio, Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Dorothy’s Church, 120 Main St., Wilmington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Circle Home Health and Hospice Care, 847 Rogers St., Unit 201, Lowell, MA 01852. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, E. Chelmsford.
