Obituary for Robert E. Doherty
Robert E. Doherty, age 72, died Sunday peacefully in his sleep at North Shore Medical Center – Salem Hospital.
He was born in Newton, April 3, 1947 the beloved son of the late William and Rose (Murphy) Doherty and was a lifelong resident of Billerica.
Bob graduated from Billerica Memorial High School, served in the National Guard and was a custodian for the Boston Globe in Billerica. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and visits to Foxwoods and will be missed by his friends at Rose Hill Manor in Billerica.
His family would like to thank the staff of Care One in Wilmington for their expert and comforting care of Bob.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Paul and Maureen Doherty of York, ME; his sister, Jean Doherty of Billerica as well as his niece and nephews all of Billerica.
