Rita J. “Gram” Nicolson – age 79, wife of the late Norman M. Nicolson, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, with family by her side.
Born in Cambridge on September 11, 1944, Rita was a daughter of the late Philip and Wilda (Lavoie) Levesque.
After a long career as an administrative assistant, Rita retired from MIT Lincoln Labs. She was an avid traveler, who loved going to places such as Hawaii, Las Vegas and Mexico. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Rita is lovingly survived by her son, Kenneth Nicolson and his wife Amy of North Billerica; her daughter, Karen Farland and her husband Thomas of Winter Haven, FL; six grandchildren, Stephen, Shawn, Brittney, Nicholas, Justin and Ava; two great-granddaughters, Nicole and Brookelyn.
Visiting Hours will be held Sunday, February 25th at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home; 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m., at St. Anne’s Episcopal, 14 Treble Cove Rd., Billerica. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
