Obituary for Rita F. Nicholls
Rita F. Nicholls, Age 95, wife of the late Donald W. Nicholls died peacefully Friday at the Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Winchester with her family at her side.
She was born in Everett, December 28, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Laura (Walsh) Troy and lived in Everett for most of her life before moving to Rose Hill Manor in Billerica, where she enjoyed her later years making new and dear friends.
Rita was devoted to her faith and family meant the world to her. She was the loving mother of Donald Nicholls Jr. and his wife Cheryl of San Jose, CA, Thomas Nicholls and his wife Diana of Stratham, NH and Marygrace Ferrari and her husband Paul of Billerica. Loving sister of Ann Mulry and her husband George of Saugus and the late Margaret Strachan, Doris Garofalo, Evelyn Hall, John Troy, and Edward Troy. Also survived by her seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who all loved her dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 10 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd. Billerica at 10:00 a.m. Per current CDC and State Guidelines face coverings will be required at all venues and attendees must sign up at https://cli.re/ccb-funeral-signup Burial will take place at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Due to Covid, a celebration of Rita’s life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821.
