Obituary for Richard S. Nicoll
Richard S. Nicoll – Age 69, beloved husband of Carol (Roop) Nicoll died Monday at their home.

He was born in Cambridge, January 18, 1947, a son of the late Robert S. Nicoll and Barbara (Doe) Nicoll and was raised in Arlington and Lexington and moved to Billerica in 1981. Early in his career he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was an active volunteer in Boy Scouts as well as activities in the First Congregational Church. Due to his interest in his Scottish heritage he served as an officer in multiple capacities of the Clan MacNicol Society.

Mr. Nicoll was employed as a Systems Support Specialist for Dynamics Research Corporation in Andover for 28 years. He was a Past Master of the Thomas Talbot Lodge A.F. & A.M. also having served as a Past District Deputy and a past Most Wise Master of the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Chieftain of the Kilted Craft.

Besides his wife, Mr. Nicoll is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Nicoll of Freedom, NH, Ken Nicoll of Salem and Andrew Nicoll of Oregon City, Oregon; his sister, Pamela Nicoll of Billerica and is also survived by six grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Scott Nicoll.

NICOLL – Of Billerica, Aug. 15, Richard S. Nicoll, Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. Funeral arrangements will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross to support his legacy of blood-drive volunteering for over 30 years.
