Obituary for Richard L. Pomerleau
BILLERICA – Richard L. Pomerleau, age 66, beloved husband of Kathleen (Bumstead) Pomerleau died Friday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lowell, December 21, 1947 a son of Rhea C. Pomerleau of Dracut and the late Raymond J. and Emelia R. (LaFrance) Pomerleau and lived in Lowell before entering the US Air Force where he served for eight years and attained the rank of SSgt. Mr. Pomerleau moved to Billerica in 1978 was a Supervisor for the MBTA working on the Orange Line for 22 years and retired in March of 2013. He was and active parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Billerica and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Scott and Jonathan Pomerleau both of Brighton and two brothers; Robert Pomerleau of Dracut and Richard Rheault of ME. He was also the father of the late Christopher Pomerleau. POMERLEAU – Of Billerica, formerly of Lowell, Nov. 7, Richard L. Pomerleau. Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher Pomerleau Altar Server Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Theresa Church, One Grace Ave., Billerica, MA 01821 Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
