Richard K. Foley – Age 54, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 25.

He was born in Nashua, April 29, 1969, a son of the late William E. and Anne K. “Dede” (Murray) Foley and was raised in Billerica and later lived in Wayland and Framingham.

Rick went to Billerica public elementary schools, graduated Austin Prep in 1987, and attended Assumption College. He was a lifelong lover of soccer, playing both youth and varsity soccer, and was a big fan of Major League Soccer.

Rick enjoyed being outside and was a talented landscape designer, earning several certifications in landscape lighting and design and landscape architecture. He was employed by Henley’s Landscaping and Masonry of Wayland for over 20 years. In his free time you would still find Rick working outside in the yard, his radio playing Kiss 108 or Sunday Accoustics on 104.1. Rick was always quick to help family and friends with their landscaping projects, too.

Rick is noted for his big heart and thoughtful texts to family and friends on birthdays and holidays. He loved the beach and enjoyed day trips to Salem Willows and Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester, and in his younger years visiting Nantasket Beach and Paragon Park. Rick loved kids and being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and he shared a special bond with his nephew, Reilly.

Rick is survived by his siblings, Marion Sullivan and her husband Keith of Quincy, Steven Judge and his wife Kim of Rockland, ME, Michael Foley and his wife Kate of Billerica, W. Gregory Foley and his wife Amanda of Windham, NH, Christopher Foley and his wife Kellie of Hudson, NH, and Jeffrey Foley of Dracut. He is also survived by his uncle Anthony Mauriello of Billerica, several cousins, and his many beloved nieces and nephews.
