Obituary for Richard "Dick" "Richie" F. Monti
BILLERICA – Richard “Dick” “Richie” F. Monti, age 77, beloved longtime domestic partner of Jeanne Brown and husband of the late Evelyn P. (Chabot) Monti died January 29, 2021 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.
He was born in Cambridge, April 7, 1943 a son of the late Vincent and Anna (Coliano) Monti was raised in Somerville and has been a resident of Billerica since 1967. He would winter with Jeanne his companion of 28 years in North Port, FL.
Richie served in the US Army National Guard for six years and was employed as a Sales Rep for United Liquors for 35 years retiring 15 years ago and was a life member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks, 2071. He also maintained membership in the Middlesex County Deputy Sheriffs Assn and the MA Assn. for Italian American Police Officers.
Besides his longtime companion he is survived his children, Stephen Monti and his wife Diane of Chelmsford, Michael Monti of Billerica, Christopher Monti of Billerica and Tammy McCoy and her husband Ryan of Tyngsboro as well as his grandchildren, Sean, Andrew, Lindsey and Audrey. He was the grandfather of the late Erik Monti. He also leaves behind, aunts, in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and numerous friends
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday February 4, 2021 at St. Matthew The Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd. Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
