Obituary for Richard T. Sawyer
Richard T. Sawyer – Age 81, beloved husband of Patricia E. (Shea) Sawyer died Friday at the Life Care of Merrimack Valley with his family at his side.

Mr. Sawyer was born in Tarry Town, NY, September 6, 1937, a son of the late Edmund and Mary (Talbot) Sawyer. He was raised in Tarry Town, NY and later moved to Franklin, MA and lived in Billerica for the past 45 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Sawyer was employed in the sales division of Hamilton-Avnet in Peabody for over 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Billerica Sons of Italy, worked at BATV and was active in Family First Night in Billerica and the Yankee Doodle Committee. He was a former member of the Billerica Knights of Columbus.

Besides his wife, Mr. Sawyer is survived by his daughters, Eileen Boyle of Chelmsford and Donna DeMonico and her husband John of Mayer, MN; his son, David Sawyer and his wife Meg of Madison, CT and eight grandchildren, Ryan, Erin and Ian DeMonico, David and Bryan Boyle and Daniel, Molly and Andrew Sawyer.

SAWYER – Of Billerica, Dec. 28, Richard T. Sawyer, Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Billerica Sunshine Gals, www.sunshinegalsbillerica.com
