Ralph D. Miller, age 61, beloved husband of Robin T. (Shaughnessy) Miller, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 21st at Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
Born on January 5, 1964, in Hollywood, Florida, Ralph was the son of Rachel (Tanetta) Budau of Groton and the late Samuel Miller, Hollywood, Florida. He was raised in Billerica and had made his home in Burlington for 20 years.
Ralph was the proud owner of Wallboard Hangers, a business he built with dedication and heart. He worked alongside contractors throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, and took great pride in the loyal team who stood by him over the years including his sons, Michael and John Miller; his brothers, Clifford “Choppy” Budau and Stephen Budau; and his nephews, Little Sammy Miller and John E. Shaughnessy and longtime colleague, Ron Balkan.
Ralph is survived by his devoted wife, Robin; his son, John Joseph Miller, and his fiancée, Hayley Hammond, of Burlington; his brothers, Clifford “Choppy” Budau of Tyngsborough, Richard “Digger” Budau of Billerica, and Stephen Budau of Manchester, NH; and his sisters, Dorothea “Buffy” Druziako of Dunstable, Rachel “Shelly” Allen of Epping, NH, Cindy Budau of Groton, and Jennifer Castadoro of Billerica. He was a proud grandfather to Michael Daniel Miller Jr., John Michael Miller, and Samuel Stanley Miller, and is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was predeceased by his son, Michael Daniel Miller, and his brother, Samuel Christopher Miller.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica. A graveside service will follow on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Road, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ralph’s name to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org.
