Obituary for Ralph J. Caprio Jr.
Of Billerica, Jan. 5, Ralph J. Caprio Jr. beloved husband of Mary E. (Jordan) Caprio.
Ralph grew up in Tewksbury, Massachusetts before moving to Billerica in 1982, and he was the son of Adeline and the late Ralph Caprio.
Ralph proudly served the Billerica community for over twenty years through his career with the post office. He truly loved his job and cared deeply for those he worked with as well as the customers he served. He took great pride in doing his job well and bringing joy to others; he will always be remembered for his ability to bring a smile to anyone’s face. In his free time Ralph enjoyed watching sports, cheering on the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, playing with his dogs, Bella, Crystal, and Henry, and travelling with his wife, Mary, of 35 years—but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Ralph was the brother of Donna Cognato of Tewksbury, Diane Moore of Andover and David Caprio of Tewksbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Tuesday, Jan. 9th, from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday Jan. 8th from 4-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the MGH Gastrointestinal Cancer Ctr., 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114 https://giving.massgeneral.org/cancer/donate/?pid=379
