Prema Raja, age 83, wife of the late Dr. Vijay Raja, died peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025 in Billerica, MA.
Prema was born in Tamil Nadu, India on May 24, 1942 to T.E and Rajalakshmi Srinivasan. In 1971, she immigrated to the United States and settled in New England. She began her profession as a Clinical Chemist for Cape Cod Hospital and then proceeded to pursue her MBA. Eventually, she worked as a Cost Accountant for the State of Massachusetts for over 20 years and into retirement.
Prema was preceded in death by her late husband, Dr. Vijay Raja. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sanjay and Sushma, and her two grandsons, Rohan and Deven. She will also be missed by her sister, Chuda Rajan, sisters-in-law, Revathi Varadan and Pratibha Vasudevan, and brother-in-law, K.S. Krishna, as well as many nephews and nieces.
Funeral and cremation services will be held privately by the family on Monday November 24, 2025.
