Obituary for Penelope M. "Penny" Arey
Penelope “Penny” M. Arey, Age 67, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 16 at her home.
Penny was born in Waltham, July 20, 1953, a daughter of Barbara L. (Lyons) Arey of Billerica and the late Louis G. Arey. She was a lifelong resident of Billerica and a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School Class of 1971 and later graduated from the University of Lowell. She was employed as a Switch Board Operator at the Bedford V.A. Hospital for over 30 years having retired in 2019.
Besides her mother, Penny is survived by her sister, Candis Cameron and her husband John of Pittsburgh, PA, her nieces, Teresa and Steven Fec of PA and Jessica Cameron of PA; her nephew, Jeremy Cameron of PA and her great niece and nephew, Autumn Pogany and Logan Fec and is also survived by many cousins.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Billerica Community Pantry, P.O. Box 285, Billerica, MA 01821.
