Obituary for Peggy A. Johnson

Peggy A. (Parker) Johnson, age 91, beloved wife of the late Earle V. Johnson Jr. died Sunday at Windsor Place in Wilmington after a period of declining health.


She was born in Arlington, July 24, 1933 a daughter of the late George and Jenny (Palmer) Parker and lived in Arlington before moving to Billerica in 1956.


Peggy attended Arlington schools graduating from Arlington High School before beginning a career spanning 40 years with Varian Vacuum in Lexington as an assembler and more recently as a Switchboard Operator.


She is survived by one daughter, Susan McCormack of Derry, NH; two sons, Robert Johnson and his wife Tina of Palm Harbor, FL and Steven Johnson of Derry, NH; as well as nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Sarah McCormack; mother-in-law of the late Charles McCormack and sister of the late George Parker and Betty Lou Haxton.


A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Humane Society at www.lowellhumanesociety.org
