Obituary for Pauline R. Phinney
Pauline R. (Burke) Phinney, Age 87, beloved wife of Charles L. Phinney with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was born in Medford, Ma on June 6, 1926, one of 12 children of the late John J. and Edmee M. (Perrault) Burke and was raised in Medford prior to moving to the Nutting Lake area of Billerica 65 years ago. Pauline was a Laboratory Technician with Sylvania in Woburn and most recently with M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory in Bedford, MA. She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica. She was a former Member of the M.I.T. Activities Committee. Pauline was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an outgoing, upbeat person, who was loved by all. She enjoyed socializing, traveling, reading and spending time with family at her summer home in Maine. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Charles and Kimberly Phinney of New Ipswich, NH, Jack and Kathy Phinney of Westford, Dan and Joanne Phinney of Chelmsford; two daughters, Paula and Rick Chalifoux of Chelmsford, Cathy and Bob Dalton of Townsend; a sister, Mary Lambert of Virginia, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. PHINNEY- of Billerica, formerly of Medford, July 19, Pauline R. (Burke) Phinney. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 17 at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd.
