Obituary for Pauline F. Rogers
BILLERICA – Pauline F. (O’Connor) Rogers, age 96, beloved wife of the late William J. Rogers died peacefully at her home on Thursday, Dec 29, 2016.
She was born in Brookline, MA on October 20, 1920, to the late Daniel T. and Hildred M. (Gaudet) O’Connor, she was the second oldest daughter, with 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She married and raised her family in Brookline until moving to Billerica where she has been a resident for over 43 years.
Predeceased by her eldest daughter, Paula Henry of Natick, she is survived by her daughter Deborah and her husband Gregg of Billerica, two sons, William J. Rogers Jr. of Ellenburg, NY and his partner, Marilyn, and John D. Rogers and his wife Joanne of Winthrop; a sister, Catherine Rogers of Brighton; a brother, Joseph O’Connor of Franklin; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She lived a full life and in addition to time with family, she loved travelling, gardening, good food and wine. She loved weekends at Newfound Lake, a good game of cribbage, a day at the ocean at Wells Beach, Maine, watching the Red Sox and Patriots games, and watching professional ice-skating competitions on TV. For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting, oil painting, rug-braiding and canning recipes like her famous zucchini relish and tomatoes. She also spent many hours volunteering at the elementary schools as a reading tutor and as a CCD teacher for the parish.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass being held at St. Theresa’s Parish, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA on Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m.
