Paul O. Muccini, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Winchester Hospital following a period of declining health.
He was born in Boston’s North End on November 5, 1932, the son of the late Giovanni and Ida (Valeria) Muccini, and over the years resided in Somerville and Medford.
Prior to his retirement, Paul worked for several construction companies and was a devoted fan of New England sports teams. Above all, however, he cherished the time he spent with his family and the deep love he had for his children.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Cloghessy and her husband Joseph of Billerica and Gina Muccini of Gloucester; he was also predeceased by his former wife, Linda M. (Silva) Muccini; as well as his five beloved grandchildren, Ava, Cara, Gianna, Shane and Colin. He was the brother of the late George, Peter, Trieste Muccini, Lena Pensavalle, Dora Galasano, Viola Rao and Gina Muccini.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow at Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica.
