Paul J. Thomas, age 87, beloved husband of 64 years of Anita W. (Guichard) Thomas died Wednesday, September 11 at the EN Roger Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
He was born in Roanoke, VA, August 4, 1937 a son of the late George and Mary (Murray) Thomas.
Paul served in the US Navy during the Korean War, Then he moved to Billerica in 1970 where he went on to a long career with Greyhound Bus as a Mechanic. After his retirement from Greyhound he worked in maintenance at the EN Roger Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford and more recently was in charge of the mail room at Middlesex Community College.
Paul was a man of few words but in his spare time he had a few hobbies including working in his garden, maintaining his yard, and he loved working on his truck.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Paul J. Thomas Jr. of Chelmsford; one daughter, Jeanell Scott and her husband Bruce of Rockwood, TN; five grandchildren Janita, Thomas and his spouse Jasmine, Brianna and Mikayla and her spouse Jonathan as well as nine great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jayden, Landon, Cecilia, Karson, Alexandria, Arabella, Amarra and Alijah, Paul was the grandfather of the late Scott Edward LeDoux.
A Celebration of Paul’s life is being planned for his next birthday August 4th 2025.
