Paul D. Evans, of Billerica. Born to the late Fredrick R. and Mabel B. (McLaren). Beloved husband of 54 years to Linda (Mumford) Evans. Paul passed peacefully at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.
Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his two cherished dogs, Ginger and Cinnamon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Robert Evans and Roberta Ford.
Prior to his retirement, Paul worked for the City of Lynn as a civil engineer for many years. He was a handy man who could fix almost anything. He was a caring, generous and compassionate man who would help anyone who needed a hand. In addition, Paul enjoyed playing golf; collecting model cars, and working on jigsaw puzzles.
At the request of the family, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
