Patricia H. Sullivan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024. Born in Dorchester, MA on March 10, 1932, a beloved daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Mahoney) MacPherson, she graduated from St. Michael’s Academy in Hudson, MA and lived in Bedford, North Easton, and North Billerica, MA. She was a secretary at Stonehill College and Friends Community in Easton, an active volunteer, a published writer, and a beloved mother and grandmother. Predeceased by her cherished husband Paul Sullivan of almost sixty years, Patricia was the mother of five children and their spouses: Kathleen Sullivan and Richard Ferrara of Merrimac; Anne and Tarik Soydan of Maynard; Elizabeth Sullivan and Kathleen Sacco of Billerica; and Daniel and Karen Sullivan of Beverly Cove. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine Molinaro of Westford. Pat will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: the recently married Steven and Annie Ferrara, Elizabeth Ferrara, Joseph Soydan, Nicholas and Benjamin Molinaro, and Olivia and Harrison Sullivan. Patricia was predeceased by sister Joan Rock and brother Chick MacPherson, and leaves her dear sister Rosemary Rimkus and brother Joseph MacPherson, of Hudson. Pat was a kind and loving aunt and sister-in-law to her extended family. She delighted in the gatherings of her large and loving family, visiting the beaches of Ogunquit, Beverly Cove, and Cape Cod, running the Tufts 10K, and connecting with friends and fellow writers. A dedicated student of the Lifelong Learning at Regis College program, Pat was a talented essayist with a deep appreciation for music, poetry, and good fiction. Her sense of humor coupled with her empathic heart won her the respect and love of a large and precious circle of friends. She was especially beloved in her final months by the loving staff of Care One in Wilmington. She will be sorely missed A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 at St. Irene Church, 187 East Street, Carlisle, MA at 10:30 AM. Arrangements are in the care of Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, Billerica, MA. To honor her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
