Patricia A. “Patty” (Daly) O’Neill 71, beloved wife of Bernard A. “Bernie” O’Neill died Thursday March 23, at Health Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Myers, FL after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born in Chelsea, April 4, 1951 a daughter of the late Frank J. and Marion M. (Collins) Daly and was raised in Medford, MA, settled in Billerica, MA with her family for many years before retiring to Ft. Myers with her husband 12 years ago.
Patricia’s true joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren and helping care for them while their parents were at work.
Her love for her family and friends was evident in all she did. She enjoyed spending time outdoors; whether floating in the pool, gardening, or relaxing at the beach. She loved listening to music, making crafts with her sisters and was known for the great Halloween costumes she made for her girls. She was always a ray of sunshine and would brighten anyone’s day.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Jennifer O’Neill of Billerica, Kerry O’Neill of Plaistow, NH and Corey Powderly and her husband Brian of Billerica; four sisters, Mary Magnell and her husband Jim of Enfield, NH, Maureen Serrechia and her husband Joe of Naples, FL, the late Jack Daly and his wife Lynn of Thetford, VT, Barbara Frazier and her husband Joe of Canaan, NH and Eileen DeCoff and her husband Pete of White River Junction, VT as well as her dearly loved grandchildren, Alexandra, Jack, Jamie and Josh and her many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 1, at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of her Life at the Country Club of Billerica, 53 Baldwin Rd., Billerica.
