Obituary for Patricia A. Rossetti

Patricia "Pat" Ann Rossetti, 82, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Westford House Nursing and Rehab in Westford after a period of declining health.

She was born in Somerville, June 12, 1943, daughter of the late Matthew J. and Ruth E. (Mullaney) LaFrance and was a longtime Billerica resident before spending her later years in Woburn and Tewksbury.

Pat graduated from Woburn High School in 1961 and went on to receive her LPN from the Massachusetts Soldiers’ Home School of Practical Nursing and her associate’s degree from Middlesex Community College.

Nursing was her calling, and she loved caring for patients, spending much of her career at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Shawsheen Technical High School and Perkins School for the Blind prior to transitioning to hospice care nursing before retirement.

Pat was equally devoted to her family, dedicating her time to the activities her children enjoyed, from Camp Fire Girls to Boy Scouts and all their sports endeavors. Becoming a Nana was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with Jack, Michael and Greg.

She was grateful for her dear friends, including her close-knit circle fondly known as “LeClique” and especially treasured their annual trip to Hampton Beach and participating in the Billerica Yankee Doodle Homecoming.

Her pets were her constant companions, and she rescued many dogs and cats throughout her life, including her beloved dog Oreo. Her granddog Joey visited Westford House regularly, bringing comfort and smiles to patients and staff.

Pat loved a good margarita, Neil Diamond, The Grand Ole Opry, Mickey Mouse, traveling and cheering on the Red Sox and the Patriots. Her strong spirit, directness and humor will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Shea and her husband Daniel of N. Chelmsford; sons, Joseph “Jay” Rossetti, III, and his wife JoAnn of Sudbury and Matthew Rossetti and his wife Kristen of Westford; three beloved grandsons, Jack, Michael and Greg; and her brother, Matthew “Jim” LaFrance of Stuart, FL. She was predeceased by her sister Maureen Carey.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MPSCA-Angell at www.mspca.org
