Obituary for Patricia A. Varnerin
Patricia A. (Murphy) Varnerin, age 92 , beloved wife of the late David A. Varnerin died Thursday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading after a period of declining health.
She was born in Somerville, February 14, 1930 the daughter of the late Cornelius and Eleanor (Callahan) Murphy and has been a resident of Billerica since 1946.
Patricia was a Department Administrator at The Mitre Corporation for over 31 years and in her retirement she was an active member of the Billerica Senior Center where she enjoyed exercising, dancing, going to plays and musicals and spending time with the many friends she made at BSC.
Patricia loved spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee and has done so since the 1950's. She was ahead of her time with regard to captaining many boats and snowmobiling. At 90 yrs. old she still managed boarding the boat to welcome the scenery and comment on the many changes since she and David began their adventures at the lake.
Patricia is survived by several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending holidays with her devoted niece and loving friend, Diana Bernard, grandnephew David Bernard and wife Janet, grandniece Christina Iosua and husband Gary, grandniece Suzanne Dumas and her children Dominic and Kaitlyn Dumas, and great grandnephews Colton and Granger. Patricia was predeceased by her brothers Eugene, Clifford, James and Edward and her sisters Eleanor, Marion, and Rita.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday August 10, 2022 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
