Obituary for Norman J. Lind Jr.

BRADFORD - Norman J. Lind Jr., age 75, husband of Mary (Godfrey) Lind and the late Elaine I. (Cohen) Lind died Monday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a long illness.

He was born in Lowell, December 10, 1935 a son of the late Norman J. Sr. and Frances (Drujetis) Lind and lived in Billerica before moving to Bradford in 1999.

Mr. Lind was a Plant Manager for United Beef for many years and was an avid Boston sports fan and fisherman. He coached hockey and baseball for the Billerica youth leagues for many years was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Social Club in Lowell and enjoyed playing cribbage. But his greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family and being a member of the AKC - Afghan Hound Club.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Paul Lind of Dracut, Robert Lind and his wife Amy of Hookset, NH; two daughters, Pamela Durrell and her husband Kevin of Lincoln, NH and Gail Fredrickson and her husband Mark of Billerica; three brothers, Richard Lind of Norwood, Paul Lind of TN, and James Lind of FL; one sister Dorothy Lind of FL; his grandchildren, Matthew Lind and his wife Keri, Christopher, Katherine and Stephanie, Lind, Michael and Krisitn Grantz, Amanda and Brett Frederickson, Kerri Aaron, Kevin Byers, Carolyn and Aleigha Russo, Sean Smith and William Hawkins; his stepchildren, Lisa Tibbets and her husband Bill and David Hawkings

LIND - Of Bradford, formerly of Billerica, April 11, Norman J. Lind Jr. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica
