Obituary for Nancy L. Ferris
Nancy L. Ferris – Age 71, passed away Thursday, January 23, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Lynn, October 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Thomas Grogan and Josephine (St. Germaine) Grogan and was raised in Lynn before moving to Billerica in 1964. She was an avid quilter and loved knitting. She could often be found at the Billerica Senior Center or with the ladies of St. Anne’s Church in N. Billerica working on multiple projects at the same time. In her younger years, Nancy spent many years as her children’s biggest cheerleader in their many adventures. She spent her early retirement years in Stuart, FL donating her talents to local charities. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Galster and her husband Alan of Pepperell, Sharon Ferris of Billerica and Sandra Giroux and her husband Ed of Billerica; her son, Thomas Ferris and his wife Tricia of Huntsville, AL; her sister-in-law Marie Grogan of Lynn; six grandchildren, Melissa Skerry, SSG TJ Proulx and his wife Shanna, Lesley Proulx, Rebecca Giroux, Karina Ferris and McKayla Ferris; three great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Caydan and Landyn Proulx and her companion dog, Luci. She was the sister of the late Thomas Grogan and the former wife of the late Leslie C. Ferris. FERRIS – Of Billerica, Jan. 23, Nancy L. (Grogan) Ferris, Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon. A funeral service will be held at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, N. Billerica at 1 p.m. Relative and friends respectfully invited.
