Myra A. Carroll – age 81, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 13, at her home.
She was born in Boston, December 21, 1943, a daughter of the late Philip and Marina (Corso) Zucco and was raised in Somerville and lived in Billerica for over 50 years.
Myra was employed as a hair stylist at Plaza Hair Fashions for 30 years and later worked for Laura’s Hair Designs having retired in 2024.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Treska and her husband Robert Treska of Billerica, and Dana Dipalma and her partner, Jeff Studley of Lowell; her brother, Philip Zucco of Medford; her sister, Deborah Miano and her husband Freddy Miano of Lakeville, and was the sister of the late Carolyn DiCenso.
Her grandchildren, Candice Lowd and her husband, David Lowd; Adam Treska and his wife-to-be, Kristina Villamil; Natalie Sullivan and her husband, Matt Sullivan; and Evan DiPalma and his wife, Brittany DiPalma; and her great-grandchildren, Gia, Mack, Vivian, Alana, Rosalie, and Griffin.
She was deeply loved and cherished by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended circle of dear friends and family. Her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 20 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 460 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
