Myles Joseph Preston
Born to Claire and Paul Sr. Preston, Myles was raised in Arlington, Massachusetts. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and spent his career as a dedicated letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, where he also served as union steward - a role which he took great pride in, using his voice to negotiate and advocate for his work family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Janet C. Preston, his two sons, Michael and Brian, and his grandsons Matthew and John. He is also survived by his brothers Paul and Jay, and sister Judith.
He loved the quiet focus of golf, a good backyard grill, and the kind of vacation that was rich in memories rather than luxuries. He was the best golfer this side of the sand trap.
Myles was our strength when we needed him, he was our laughter when we felt lost. He would go to the ends of the Earth to protect the people he loved. Even in his last days, he thought of nothing but protecting us from pain. He will live on forever in our most cherished memories.
We love you.
