Mildred R. (Allen) Marchand, age 83, beloved wife of the late Joseph Marchand died Saturday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a period of declining health.
She was born in Somerville, November 17, 1942 a daughter of the late Irving and Helen (Loveless) Allen and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica 15 years ago.
Mildred was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks Emblem Club and an active member of the Billerica Senior Center.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Marchand and his wife Maria of Nottingham, NH; one daughter, Tracey Doucette and her husband Ronald of Chelmsford; one brother Irving Allen Jr. and his wife Ruth of Cambridge; 3 grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Julia, Brian and his wife Jennifer and Ronald Jr. and his wife Colleen as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Shane, Shaelyn, Frankie, Collin, Addison, Sullivan, Christine, Callen, Rowan and Carmela. She was the sister of the late Richard Allen and Marjorie Goshdigian.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 24 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 25 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St. Everett, at 11 a.m. PLEASE MEET IN THE CHAPEL PARKING LOT AT WOODLAWN CEMETERY NO LATER THAN 10:45 A.M. The celebration of Mildred’s life will continue at Garrison’s Restaurant, 303 Boston Rd. Billerica at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House at www.caredimensions.org
