Obituary for Michele M. Venezia
BILERICA – Michele M. “Shelly” (Yeo) Venezia, age 29, died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home. She was born in Winchester, January 9, 1985 a daughter of John J. Yeo and Nancy P. (Backman) Yeo and lived in Billerica before moving to Hawaii and then back to Billerica. Shelly was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School with the class of 2003 where she was a cheerleader and played softball and volleyball. She worked as a waitress at Anthony’s Pier Four and more recently at Hawthorne by the Sea in Swampscott. Besides her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Adriana M. Venezia of Billerica; one brother, Philip Yeo of Billerica; two sisters, Melissa Arpin and Kelli Yeo both of Billerica, her grandmothers, Phyllis Yeo and Noreen Backman both of Billerica; her former husband, Joseph Venezia of Billerica as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late Philip Yeo and Richard Backman. VENEZIA – Of Billerica, unexpectedly Feb. 26, Michele M. “Shelly” Yeo. Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 5 – 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to benefit her daughter may be made to the Adriana Venezia Fund c/o Stoneham Bank, 493 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
